REUBEN MCNAUGHTON

London based - Creative DIRECTOR - Art Director

DEMENTIA UK ‘TOGETHER AGAIN’ - DIRECTOR, ART DIRECTOR

Working as a director at PASSION ANIMATION with the agency ARTHUR LONDON I developed the script, created storyboards, character design and concept art, before directing a team of animators, colour artists and compositors to create this animation depicting the difficult, often painful journey so many people experience to reconnect with their loved ones who live with dementia.

DAVSS ‘DISAPPEAR’ - DIRECTOR, ART DIRECTOR, MOTION GRAPHICS

In tandem with PASSION ANIMATION and SECRET STATION FILMS, I developed the core concept and visual metaphor, working from a provided narration. I created the girl from paper to emphasise her fragility, as she gradually loses parts of herself within an abusive relationship, until she disappears completely. Upon finding a way out, she begins reclaiming and rebuilding herself.

WORLD OCEANS DAY - DIRECTOR/ART DIRECTOR/MOTION GRAPHICS

Made for PASSION ANIMATION’s celebration of World Oceans Day, this piece takes a satirical look at the future of our seas. Given free rein to explore ocean wellbeing, I developed the project from initial idea through concept, design, animation and compositing. Click the image below to watch.
